You did mention it has nice grain. But you need to adjust the color balance on the right image or give us a real closeup so we can REALLY appreciate the grain.

Yes. He harvested and dried the sycamore and apple lumber, the former from a tree at our house and the latter from a tree that (if I recall correctly) was at an aunt's house.
